- Match the lighting
- If the pendant lights and cabinet hardware are the same finish, the room reads as intentional. Mismatched metals between these two visible elements creates visual tension.
- Consider the cabinet colour
- Matte black hardware on white cabinets creates contrast. Brushed nickel on dark cabinets creates a focal point. Brass on warm wood tones creates warmth. The hardware should complement, not fight, the cabinet colour.
